Men have the same problem. Most doctors try to convince and "councel" them to think it over. My husband has always known he doesn't want kids but joined the Air Force right out of high school -- years later when he went to his doctor and requested a vasectomy he had to "pass" counseling. He didn't pass and it wasn't until he left the Air Force that he was finally able to get one. Amazingly enough the doctor that did it didn't ask any questions.

Reproduction laws affect all of society. When a woman can't use birth control, or have an abortion, when a woman or man can't tie their tubes -- what stops the government from telling us how many kids we HAVE TO have?
